MADERA WINE TRAIL EVENT SHOWCASES CALIFORNIA PAINTER

---FRESNO, CA: (May 21, 2003)–-- The annual Madera Spring Wine Trail Weekend event will feature the artwork of Matthew Frye for the first time on June 7 and 8 from noon to 5 PM at the Chateau Lasgoity Winery, which is located at 11219 Road 26 in Madera.

Chateau Lasgoity Winery, a family owned winery making premium quality wines, have invited Matthew Frye to exhibit his paintings on canvas at the two-day “Wine Trail” event in Madera, California, which is expected to draw over 2000 visitors. Frye will unveil several of his new original pieces and will be available to answer questions about his artwork and creative processes. Frye’s work is characterized by intimacy, boldness of color, and profusion of life.

"What an honor it is to be asked to showcase my art at Chateau Lasgoity Winery,” said Matthew Frye, “This will be a great opportunity to meet local enthusiasts of this Valley, and join with them in the pride and passion of our region.”

· Take Highway 99 North to Avenue 12 Exit
· Take Avenue 12 West about 2.5 miles to Road 26
· Take Road 26 South about 0.8 miles to the Chateau Lasgoity Winery
· The Chateau Lasgoity Winery will be on your left (East) side.

About the Artist
Matthew Frye, an emerging artist, seeks inspiration from his love of God, agriculture, fishermen, and the humor of life. Matthew studied in Italy, London, and Paris. He began pursuing painting seriously at Pepperdine University and continued drawing, painting and sculpture at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. Matthew Frye’s artwork is being collected throughout California.
